New roofs and re-roofing in Nottinghamshire
There comes a point where you are paying for a repair every winter and a new roof is the cheaper answer. We will tell you honestly which side of that line you are on, and if it is a re-roof you need, price the whole thing rather than the first bit you can see.
What the job involves
- Full strip and re-roof in tile or natural slate, with new felt and battens underneath where the old ones have gone.
- Dry ridge and dry verge systems, so the run of the roof is fixed mechanically instead of relying on mortar.
- Velux and other roof windows fitted and flashed in, which is the part that leaks if it is rushed.
- Loft ventilation sorted at the same time, so the new roof does not trap moisture in the timbers.
- The old roof taken away with it, so you are not left with a skip full of tiles.
You stop paying for the same repair every autumn, and you get a roof you can forget about.
